Friday was our 1st "Daily Ukulele" show, and except for the fact that Maintenance was out and the area was not set up, it went pretty well. I stepped out front and listened at one point, and while we could sing louder, the uke's sounded great.

Next month is our Arizona Show celebrating 100 years of statehood, and that is the subject of our program. We have about 50 copies of sheet music from the 20' and 30's .

I have entered the Scottsdale Strummers in the "Extravaganza". They only have openings for 28 performances, and I guess they have a lot of people who want to perform. Ralph's group, the 8 to 10 group will join us for our segment. Ralph and I have talked a bit about what to do, and I remembering our gimmick of the clock pendulum portrayed by the ukulele.

One of the possibilities for a song was "Up The Lazy River", and Ralph suggested we could use the ukulele as an oar to add a little visual. Good idea, so "Up The Lazy River" is the song.

The Extravaganza is the 18th of April, so we will hold off on practicing until after we do the Arizona Cafeteria show on the 17th of February.

The agenda for next week will be:
10:00 Arizona songs
11:30 Advanced Ukulele with Jim Marchbanks

I am going to bring in 3 more copies of "The Daily Ukulele." The cost is still $23. First come first serve, unless you let me know that you want one prior to the meeting.

This is the Forth notice if you want to stay on my mailing list. You will be removed in February, unless you want to continue to receive it. Email me if you want to kept on the list. I will send this message a few times, then I am going to purge the membership list.

By the way, you can email me at either pat@azukulele.com or patmc@azukulele.com.
